The situation was that Mackesy Smye, an established and well-respected personal injury firm needed to anticipate changes in the way the Law Society of Upper Canada allowed lawyers to market to the public. Furthermore, they wanted to separate how they positioned themselves from their peers – Injury lawyers can be perceived in a negative light by the public.
